lux terms and conditions

In making a booking via this website you are accepting the terms and conditions as listed below.

Your booking is a contract between Lux Dance Training and the lead name only. The lead name is responsible for advising their guests on all issues relating to the booking.

Cancellations for hotel accommodated bookings -
In the event that you cannot attend the event following payment of your space then we can offer the following refund sliding scale. Alternatively you may be able to get a 100% return by selling your space on our LUX Facebook Group and Event pages (to someone of the same gender that the booking was made in) This sliding scale becomes applicable provided we are informed in writing (email will suffice but if no immediate reply please call the LUX hotline 07958 587256) by the dates shown:
14 July -75%
1 Aug - 50%
Thereafter -0%

Hotel check-in & check-out - For residential guests check-in to your hotel room will open at 3pm on your day of check-in. Check-out time is 11am Monday 26 August 2024, unless you have booked and paid for a late check-out of 4pm costing £40. The freestyle finishes at 7pm and the hotel will be happy to store your luggage until you are departing.

There will be no refund for non- residential workshop / freestyle packages and individual freestyle bookings after purchase although it is likely that it would be possible to transfer these by using our Facebook group / page. Again these places can only be transferred to someone of the same gender that the tickets were originally made for. Gender Disparity - We will be attempting to keep a gender balance between the number of men and women booked on the Lux weekender. Because of this from time to time the availability for specific genders will alter dependant upon the bookings at that time as we control any disparity that occurs. We cannot however offer any guarantees that the event will be gender balanced and any particular time. This is because we cannot control when individuals of each gender arrive at the event, which room they may choose to dance in and when they might wish to socialise in the lounge area and/or in their rooms. In addition,  we still rely on good faith that people who book as couples actually turn up as couples and not as singles.

IMPORTANT - Please note: package tickets covering different days and options cannot be split and subsequently sold separately

Late Bookings - Do not send any postal bookings after 1 August 2024 (assuming availability). After this date, book on line or telephone the Lux Hotline on 07958 587 256.

You will be given specific coloured wrist bands, upon arrival and these will indicate the relevant rooms and times you have access to according to your booking. Please keep this on at all times. No wristband, or wearing the incorrect coloured wristband for the time / activity (see entry times & activities for Delegates and Freestyle Only Guests) will mean no entry.

Lost or Broken Wristbands - Please contact us at reception and once we have re-confirmed your booking and status we will issue you with another wristband.

Payment Handling - On-line bookings are handled by Barclaycard Credit Services to guarantee your security.

Changes to the Event Content and Format - The organisers reserve the right to amend or alter any information they have published or may publish from time to time in the future, in connection with this event.

Problems Upon Arrival - It is the responsibility of each guest to check that their room is clean, and that there are no broken, damaged or missing items. Should there be any problems please report these immediately to the hotel reception desk.

Breakage's - Any damage or breakage's in individual rooms during the period of this event are the sole responsibility of the guests booked to that room. In this instance the lead name for the booking is liable for the cost of repair or replacement of any damage or breakage's.

Additional Charges - All additional charges relating to goods or services not covered by your package are your responsibility. In areas of dispute all charges will fall to the lead name on each booking.

Covid policy

Whilst it's no longer a requirement to test before an event under current legislation we would still encourage dancers to carry out a lateral flow test before dancing - and, needless to say, you should not attend if you feel at all unwell.
